Gaga over Google

Google Adsense has taken the world by storm. Now the small guy can get a slice of big profits. But exactly how should one go about generating revenue from it? This article is designed to help you to decide what sort of web-page to make – one that will realize the largest profits.

First you should pick a theme where there is at least some competition. That is to say, if you choose a family history web page, you may only get genealogy ads in your Adsense boxes. These may be very low paying ads and hardly worth your while. Before building a web page you should check and see how much people are paying for a certain type of ad. To that end – PC Bidbrowser will give you an idea how much advertisers are paying at Overture, and you can extrapolate or take an educated guess at Adsense.

But is finding the highest paying keyword the best way to build a page around? Consider the point that there may be so much competition that your web-page may never see the light of day. If no-one ever reads your site, you have no clicks, hence no revenue. No, the money-making truth lies somewhere in the middle. You need a topic that has low enough competition that people will actually find it on search engines, but also high enough competition that you will receive some cash from advertisers.

A neat program called ‘keyword sleuth’ allows you to find alternate keywords that are still highly searched yet low in competition. Other programs do similar functions.

Find 6 or so topics that you find a nice balance between competition and reward. Now how do you build a web-page that will give some new slant on the topic?

Does your web-page really need to be unique? Perhaps you could write an interesting page or two about the subject along with some links. For instance, perhaps you want to write a site on stock market trading. If you’ve ever been in the stock market you could write a real life trading experience. Make it exciting, while keeping it truthful. What led you to invest? What stocks did you trade and why? Did you make money or lose some? Do you have any advice to give to new investors? Could you find a couple of links for free screeners or some other tool that would be useful? Did you employ any special techniques – humorous or not?

You see, it doesn’t have to be about making millions with your trading system, it can be a funny life experience which we all can learn from.

Thanks for reading and I hope you start your profitable business soon.

How To Achieve Success With Adsense Arbitrage

‘Whether you believe you can do a thing or not, you are right.’ Henry Ford

This quote holds true for anything you attempt. It is all about the belief you have in yourself to achieve success.

When speaking about the subject of Adsense arbitrage many a time you will find eyebrows rising. It is looked upon as a ‘black hat’ method of making money as an online business, but this is due to a bad name it got from people who misused the system.

Fortunately this is now behind us to a large extent, thanks to the Google slap down on landing pages.

Adsense arbitrage has now again become a viable business model for a sustained online income, provided of course you know what you are doing and don’t go against the system but work toward the betterment of the system.

Adsense arbitrage is not a new concept or secret idea that has just arisen; it has been around for a while. The concept behind Adsense arbitrage is simple, you buy advertising from adwords or another PPC engine, and you send the traffic to a landing page of your own with Adsense advertising. People click on the Adsense ads and you get paid. Your profit is made up of the difference between what you pay for the click and get paid for the click on your page.

Now although this may seem relatively easy to achieve there are some points you need to consider very carefully before placing your ads and landing pages.

  1. You have to research your keyword and make sure that it will be profitable. To get an indication if the profitability factor of your keyword make use of the Overture bid tool. Type in your keyword and look at the difference in the bid prices between ad one and ad ten, the higher the difference in bid prices between the first ad and the last ad the higher your chances of success. This is not a clear indication that it will be profitable but it is a good indicator of what is going on in that specific area of the market linked to the keyword. Based on this information you should then research the keyword further.
  2. Your landing page has to be targeted to the visitor who clicked on your ad. The page has to be optimized for the keyword you chose, else the wrong Adsense ads will be displaying on your page.
  3. The content of the landing page should be no less that 300 words and must be relevant to the keyword and adwords ad you placed.
  4. The Adsense ad placement is of optimal importance to ensure a high click through rate and successful Adsense arbitrage.

Like in any business online and off line there is a risk factor. It is the same with Adsense arbitrage and there are many who have gotten it wrong and gave it up as a bad business idea.

Then of course there are those who persisted and believed in what is possible and now are reaping the rewards of a good monthly income from Adsense arbitrage.

Here I would like to go back to one more quote, and it holds true for every thing you do. ‘Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, this time more intelligently.’ Henry Ford

He built cars and made it happen, you can make your business happen, it is entirely your choice.

6 steps to Adsense Domination

When you make your living online, you realize the need for multiple streams of income.

One of the easiest and most lucrative ways to generate a secondary income, which also happens to be passive, is via Google’s Adsense program.

I’m sure you’ve read the claims of a few individuals generating five figure monthly incomes from Adsense. For many of you, I’m sure you are wondering why you aren’t making this same income yourself.

Well, wonder no more. If you follow my simple six step system, you will be well on your way to healthy Adsense profits within three months.

Are you ready? It’s now time to pay attention.

Step 1 – Preparation.

The key to making money with Adsense is all about numbers. BIG numbers!

Sure, there are a few people making serious money with less than ten sites, but these are the exception.

Your goal will be twenty-four sites in three months. That’s just TWO sites per week!

In order to accomplish this, I recommend one of the many available page generation tools available today.

Step 2 – Determine Your Markets.

In order to maximize Adsense income with only twenty-four sites, you must know which markets are paying well.

To break this down even further, you need to know which keywords within those markets are paying the most.

Step 3 – Register you domains.

Once you’ve identified and chosen your markets, you must register domains appropriate to those markets. For example, if your market is ‘Cabbage Patch Dolls’, a domain such as http://www.cabbage-patch-doll.com/ would be appropriate.

Step 4 – Create your site.

Using your favorite page generation software and keyword list, it’s time to develop your site. There are several key points to bear in mind when you develop these specifically for Adsense.

1. Format – Always use the large 336x280 large rectangle.
2. Border – Match the same color as your background.
3. Background color - Border – Match the same color as your background.
4. Link = "0000CC"
5. Color_url = "999999"
6. Color_text = "333333"
7. Position – Far left or center and just above the page fold (Top 25% of site)

Step 5 – Verify and track your site

Visit your site and make sure all links work and that the sites appear to your satisfaction. You should also check out the ads Google is displaying. Are they targeted to your primary high paying keyword? If not, recreate your site using your high paying keyword in a higher density throughout your site.

Make sure you track your Adsense format, position, and traffic with a tracking system specifically designed for Adsense. Once you know your stats, you can adjust for maximum clickthroughs and higher revenues.

Step 6 – Get your site listed in the search engines.

This is simple… no tricks involved. Simply rent links to your site. A PR7 or PR8 link will do the job.

While I’ve simplified the process here, you are now armed with enough information and resources to make some serious money with Adsense.

Major Pitfall to Avoid While Using Google Adsense

Anyone using Google Ads is aware of the great potential of income by way of visitors visiting your website or blog and clicking on one of the Google Ad Links and registering a payment in your Google Adsense account, sounds simple.

The major hurdle for people is getting that website traffic to your site, and reading the various information guides on the internet will provide you with practically thousands of useful ways of generating traffic such as keyword rich web pages, article writing and reciprocal linking to name but a few.

But people must also realise there are actual ways on the internet that are expressed in articles as being the golden ticket to riches, which are in fact the sure fire and quickest way to get yourself banned by Google, ruining any potential of you making a decent income from your website, and people must be aware of the problem outcome.

From my own experience when first starting out with Google Adsense, I found myself to be very impatient at the fact that I may have to work at my website for possibly years to generate enough traffic to click on my ads and earn me a decent income from my website. So being frustrated at this lengthy procedure, I embarked on searching Google for possible quick fix methods which would start traffic flooding to my website and greatly increase the potential of visitors clicking on my Google Ads.

The method I fell upon was the TRAFFIC EXCHANGES, which guarantee visitors to your site in exchange for you visiting other people sites. Some of these TRAFFIC EXCHANGES operate with Google Ad clicking in mind, promising no guarantee that people would click on your Ads, but you will see an increase in Google Ad clicking.

Being stupid and impatient and at the time not realising I was doing anything really wrong I joined ten of these TRAFFIC EXCHANGES and built up my traffic credits every day for a month and sure enough I got thousands of visitors and quite a few clicks on my Google Ads, it wasn’t thousands of dollars but it was enough to put a smile on my face.

Then like a bolt of lightening from the heavens, a nice little email came from Google expressing they had been detecting invalid page impressions from TRAFFIC EXCHANGES and if this was to continue they may have to ban my account.

Now I tell you I immediately went to all them TRAFFIC EXCHANGE accounts and promptly deleted my urls to my Google Ad site and ceased the use of these traffic programs straight away. Sure the traffic to my site dropped to under ten a day, but I felt very lucky and relieved that Google had not banned me permanently from the Google Adsense program.

The trouble with the terms and conditions at Google Adsense, is it does not clearly state what is illegal page impressions and it wasn’t till I received this email that I realised I was doing anything wrong, and im pretty sure that many webmasters out there have had the same conclusion and have not been as lucky as me and have had their Google Adsense accounts permanently closed.

This articles main purpose is drive a point home, if you’re wanting to make an income from Google Adsense, then the slow methodical approach of adding keyword rich web pages and writing and submitting articles over many months will eventually start giving you that much needed traffic and hopefully reward your hard work with enough Google Ad clicks to give you that dream income. DON’T CHEAT!!

Where To Buy Adsense Keyword List

Its in the keywords! The answer to all search engine related questions can be answered by these 4 words: Its in the keywords! Knowing what keywords your potential customers are looking for will get you more visitors and more sales. Its pretty simple when you look at it that way

Its all in the keywords

Imagine if you had a list of keywords that showed what advertisers are paying for each keyword. Would that help you establish what products to offer? Would that help you as a publisher? Absolutely

Its all in the keywords: What to sell?

If you know that advertisers are paying top dollar in their pay per click campaigns for 'blue widgets', it stands to reason that either there is good money to be made selling them, or they are a popular product. If you have a website that is receiving traffic, this will help you to either expand your product offerings, or, to place more focus on an existing product that compliments 'blue widgets'.

Its all in the keywords: Adsense keyword lists

Most of us are Adsense publishers. Its a great way to monetize your website. You place the Adsense code, create some useful content, and people will click on your ads. Its that easy

However, how do you increase Adsense revenue? Easier still: buy an Adsense keyword list. Adsense Heaven (http://www.Adsenseheaven.com) updates their keyword lists monthly and provides its customers with a comprehensive list of keywords that allow publishers to target their content around the higher paying keywords.

The key to making money from an Adsense keyword list is to make sure that your content is optimized for those keywords, and, most importantly, it gets the visitor interested in finding out more information about that topic. If the visitor loses interest, they are looking elsewhere. If they are interested, they will click

Also, look for Adsense keywords that compliment your content. While insurance keywords pay out a lot, there is a lot of competition. Unless you have a lot of traffic coming to your site, you're unlikely to gain much by adding keywords about insurance. However, what if you added a life insurance section to a site for newborn parents? Your visitors looking for info about newborns may be prompted to reassess their life insurance needs. Who better to assist them further than your advertisers

So, where to buy Adsense keyword lists? Adsense Heaven should be your first stop. Their Top 5000 Adsense Keyword lists provide users with a great snapshot of useful keywords. The site also provides lists up to the Top 40 000 Adsense Keywords, and can even create a customized keywords list tailored to the needs of your site. If you are looking for effective keywords, this is the place to look!

AdsenseHeaven.com answers the question about where to buy Adsense keyword lists

Remember: Its in the keywords. The answer to all of your internet marketing challenges!

6 more free steps to making money online

If you read my previous article you will know that the goal of these articles is to teach you ways to get started making money online without having to spend any money.

This is the second in the series and this time we deal with having your own blog. There are endless ways of making money once you have traffic, and your blog will get you traffic. The income we will be looking at today will come from Google Adsense.

There are multiple benefits to having a blog including the low cost (or no cost), the resources that will help you get traffic to your blog and the fact that you can provide your blog as an RSS feed. An RSS feed will allow readers to automatically receive your updates into their RSS reader.

Let's get started with our 6 steps.

1. Set up your blog. You will need to decide what you are going to blog about. You should decide on a theme and name your blog appropriately.

There are a number of free ways to set up a blog & to have it hosted for free. We will go with Blogger.com for our first blog.

Blogger will allow you to set up a blog for free they will host it for free and they will ping search engines every time you update, meaning you will get spidered & found.

Visit blogger.com & click the button on the front page labelled 'create your blog now' then follow the step by step instructions that Blogger provide.

Some key settings you will want to get right are:

I) 'Host your blog at Blogger' = Yes
II) 'Add your blog to our listings' = Yes
III) 'Ping Weblogs.com' = Yes
IV) 'Publish Site Feed' = Yes

2. Write some content. Before we move any further there has to be some information on the site & that means that you have to make some entries. You can write some of these entries yourself & some can be quotes from sites of interest to your reader that you can post using the Google Toolbar.

You can download the Google toolbar for free at toolbar.google.com. The toolbar includes a Blogger button. When you visit a site that has something of interest to your readers you can highlight the appropriate text & click the Blogger button. The content will then be added to your blog along with a link back to the site.

3. Once you have some content eg a weeks worth of blogging with 1 or 2 entries for everyday, you can apply for an adsense account. When you sign in to Blogger you will see an invitation to join Adsense. Use this link and apply for an account.

You can find out all about Adsense on the Adsense page but basically you get Google ads on your site & get paid if your visitor clicks them.

Google will decide what adverts show on your site based on the content it finds within.

You need to be aware that Google will decline your application if your site is not considered to have content. Nobody outside of Google knows the precise rules on this.

Once you have been accepted you can get some javascript from Google to add to you site. Copy this & then log in to Blogger.

Once you have logged into your blog you will see that one of the tabs across the top of the screen is labelled 'Template'. Click this. You will need to know a little bit of HTML to help find the right location to paste your Google code. But with a little experimentation you will find the right place for you. See the resource box at the end of this article for more help.

I would suggest that the ads need to be seen when the site loads but should not be too obvious or dominate your site.

4. Write some more content. Try and keep your content coming at regular intervals as a number of directories will check on your site at regular intervals & the smarter ones will visit on a schedule based on your update schedule. They will probably determine this in the hours after you first submit to them. Which is what we will do next.

5. Submit your site to Blog & RSS directories. Because you are hosting at Blogger, Weblogs.com will already be notified when you update your blog. (That means that every time you make a new entry they are automatically notified) You will need to manually submit to the various other directories some of which will require a link on your site to theirs.

You can add these links to your template below your Blogger logo. For a list of directories to get you started visit www.themoneyseed.com/rss

6. Keep writing interesting content. Ideally you want people to come back again and again. As with customers its harder to get a new visitor than to keep existing visitors. So make it interesting, in fact make it so interesting that they can't help but tell all their friends about it also.

As with most free ways to make money this will take time to get going, but if you can build a following you will make money.

Adsense and Real Estate Web Sites; Start Making Money Today

As a web master you're interested in one thing...traffic - and lots of it! With traffic comes a potential customer, which basically means sales which in turn means profits.

While many sites have collapsed in the past with the downturn of many internet based business, many smaller sites have generated good money by hosting ads on their websites.

Do You Need to be Computer Savvy to Use Google Adsense?

No! You don't have to be a techno-geek to use Google Adsense. In fact, you don't need any more technical knowledge than you do to surf the web. Google Adsense is very user-friendly with a comprehensive support site to answer any question you might have.

Google will walk you through the sign-up process where you are prompted for the information it needs. You will then have a couple of days while you are waiting for your account to be approved. This would be a good time to familiarize yourself with the program policies, which of course you read before you signed up. But look again!

Make sure the site you are registering doesn't have any of the no-nos listed. For instance, some profanity is allowed, but nothing excessive. What is excessive? That could be a gray area, but if you're in doubt, don't register that site. There's plenty of sites with little or no profanity.

Look at the support site while you are waiting on Google Adsense and see what others are saying and doing. Most of all, have fun. Your Google Adsense dollars are just waiting to be counted.

What You Can and Should Do

Google Adsense is a fun and easy way to make extra money. It's important to follow the rules though as Google is serious about the integrity of this program. Not following the rules could result in your Google Adsense account being terminated. Here are a few Dos for using the program:

Read the Terms and Conditions and Program Policies thoroughly. Read everything you can about Google Adsense to learn from others' experiences and mistakes.

Learn how to optimize your site for the most enjoyable and profitable Google Adsense experience. Realize it takes time and hard work, which is why you should be doing something you care about. Hard work is even harder if you don't like what you're doing.

Visit other sites that are benefiting from Google Adsense. Click on the ads only if you are truly interested in the product or service being advertised. Read other people's blogs and comment on them. Offer comments only if it's meaningful and adds value for readers who log on after you.

How Much Money Can You Make With Google Adsense? How much do you want to make? How hard do you want to work? And how much time do you want to spend working the Google Adsense program?

These are the questions you must ask yourself in order to answer the question, and of course it'll be different from person to person.

If your total earnings is showing 0.00 after a week, not to worry. Keep reading and learning and working. If however, you're still showing 0.00 after a month, it may be time to implement some of those optimization tips you'll find on the Google Adsense Support Site.

Play around with the placement of the ads on your site. Consider changing the colors. Look again at the content. Is it interesting?

As with any other business, with the Google Adsense program, the sky is the limit. Work hard. Work smart. Have fun. After all, you're the boss.

Summarily, AdSense makes it possible for almost anyone with a web site or blog to earn some revenue from advertising, without having to employ sales people or spend precious time searching for advertisers.

Click Fraud and the Downfall of Google

Internet marketers facing higher advertising fees on search networks are becoming increasingly concerned about a form of online fraud that was thought to have been contained years ago.

The practice, known as "click fraud," began in the early days of the Internet's mainstream popularity with programs that automatically surfed Web sites to increase traffic figures. This led companies to develop policing technologies touted as antidotes to the problem. But some marketing executives estimate that up to 50 percent of fees in certain advertising categories continue to be based on non-existent consumers in today's search industry. Sam Fritsberg of ArticleDash.com states that the fraud has reached proportions that would shatter Googles stock in half, overnight, were they more widely known.

"We continue to detect click fraud, especially with Google's Adwords and Adsense programs, and the numbers grow each and every month." says Sam. "I wouldn't be suprised if many of the advertiser horror stories are in fact true and there are people who make thousands a week commiting pay per click fraud by clicking on the ads served on their own website for commission." adds Sam Fritsburg.

In one recent example of the problem, law enforcement officials say a California man created a software program that he claimed could let spammers bilk Google out of millions of dollars in fraudulent clicks. Authorities said he was arrested while trying to blackmail Google for US$150,000 to hand over the program. He was indicted by a California jury in June.

Matt Parrella, chief of the San Jose branch of the US Attorney's Office in Northern California, said that case was "not unique." The problem "is certainly not shrinking, and we're ready to prosecute people," said Parrella, whose office handled the Google case.

Click fraud is perpetrated in both automated and human ways. The most common method is the use of online robots, or "bots," programmed to click on advertisers' links that are displayed on Web sites or listed in search queries. A growing alternative employs low-cost workers who are hired in China, India and other countries to click on text links and other ads. A third form of fraud takes place when employees of companies click on rivals' ads to deplete their marketing budgets and skew search results. "Click fraud not only is used to attack competition, but as a rip off by publishers who click on their own ads, the ones being served up on their own websites, in an effort to steal advertising dollars by the click", says Sam of ArticleDash.com. "Our solution to this model is to offer webmasters free organic search engine optimization, but in a way that helps the net rather than promoting the current fraud Google is making billions from."

Although the extent of click fraud is impossible to measure with any certainty, its persistence has exposed a fundamental weakness in the promising business of Internet search marketing. Google is tight lipped and has declined to comment.

"It's hard to tell how big the problem is, but people are looking at it closer and closer as the cost of search advertising goes up," said John Squire, vice president of business development of Coremetrics, a Web analytics firm. "Click fraud is a fin sticking out of the water: You're not sure if it's a great white shark or a dolphin." Maybe ArticleDash is on to something here. Maybe organic is the way to go afterall.

Unlike advertising in traditional media such as billboards and print publications, "cost per click" Internet ads displayed with specific keyword searches have been promoted as a definitive way for companies to gauge their exposure to potential customers. As a result, US sales from advertiser-paid search results are expected to grow 25 percent this year to $3.2 billion, up from $2.5 billion in 2003, according to research firm eMarketer. From 2002 to 2003, the market rose by 175 percent.

"As more advertisers have competed for desirable keywords in their industries, the cost for clicks has risen too." Sam of ArticleDash.com continues, "On average, advertisers are paying 45 cents per click this year, according to financial analysts, up from 40 cents in 2003 and 30 cents in the second quarter of 2002. In certain sectors, such as travel, legal advice and gaming, the cost can reach several dollars per click." The implications are indeed disturbing.

But marketing executives say click fraud is pervasive among affiliates of search leaders Google, Yahoo-owned Overture Services and FindWhat.com. In a typical affiliation, any Web publisher can become a partner of these large networks by displaying their paid links on a Web page or within its own search results and then share in the profits with every click. "A common practice is the use of proxies, where by tricking Google into thinking the click is originating from another computer, possibly in another country, and the click fraud artist... more webmasters than you think.. walks away with a handsome undeserved profit." says Sam.

"There's a fatal flaw in the cost-per-click model because a ton of marketing dollars can be depleted in a fraction of a second," said Jessie Stricchiola, president of Alchemist Media, a search-engine marketing firm based in Los Angeles that specialises in fraud protection. "Technology is continuing to be developed that can exploit this pricing model at incredibly high volumes."

Google's Answer
Google declined an interview for this report, but the company said in a statement that it has been "the target of individuals and entities using some of the most advanced spam techniques for years. We have applied what we have learned with search to the click fraud problem and employ a dedicated team and proprietary technology to analyse clicks." Many disagree, however, and claim that the pay per click indestry is doomed. Organic Optimization a la ArticleDash.com seems to be the next big thing, and at least this time the risk is limited and the free upside results seems unlimited.
